Posted on 06 July 2007 by admin

Currently, the HD televisions are available in four different display models. This includes direct view, rear projection, front projection, and flat panel. Among the four models, the flat panel HDTV is the cutting-edge model in television technology. There are two types of flat panels; LCD and plasma. Direct view television was the earliest model. In this type of television set, the display screen was placed in front of the cathode-ray tube (CRT) and the screen size was limited up to 40 inches.

Rear projection televisions, also known as big screen TVs, come with cathode-ray tubes or digital rear projections. Screen sizes of rear projection televisions will range from 40 to 70 inches.
